Apple reportedly testing iOS 7.0.1, iOS 7.0.2 and iOS 7.1

 
While we eagerly wait for Apple to release iOS 7 on September 18, Apple is reportedly already testing iOS 7.0.1, iOS 7.0.2 and iOS 7.1.
9to5Mac reports that based on the web logs of their website, Apple employees are actively testing new versions of iOS 7.

This doesn’t come as a surprise as Apple typically releases a software update to fix the bugs shortly after releasing a major update.

While we cannot absolutely confirm that these tests are occurring inside Apple, it seems likely based on the cities in which these operating systems are being tested. Apple’s headquarters is in Cupertino, California, and we are seeing these views from these unreleased operating systems from both Cupertino and surrounding areas.

While someone could easily manipulate the browser user agent, it is very likely that Apple is already internally testing software updates for iOS 7. The web logs indicate that Apple may release two minor versions of iOS 7 to fix the bugs.
It is also possible that Apple will release iOS 7.1 along with new iPad hardware, which is expected to be unveiled in October – November timeframe.
This could delay the launch of iOS 7 jailbreak, which seems to be making good progress. Jailbreak developers tend to wait for a major versions like iOS 7.1 to be released before releasing a jailbreak to ensure that it has a longer shelf life.
Apple is scheduled to release iOS 7 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on Wednesday, September 18.
